Each year they host a web-based competition to see whose fans are the most psyched about their favorites in each of three categories: artists or bands, music series or festivals, and venues. Since 2007, the Sammys has attracted hundreds of thousands of voters through its online voting system. Submissions and voting are free and open to the public.

2019 SAMMY Spotlight Series will be presented by our Supporting Sponsor NewsChannel 9 WSYR’s morning show – “Bridge Street”. Every Thursday, January 31, 2019 through March 7, 2019. 2019 SAMMYS People’s Choice .

Round 1 Voting begins January 15. Online voting is free and open to the public. Everyone is encouraged to log on and vote once a day, every day for their favorites in 3 categories. Each Tuesday, starts a new round with the finalists from the previous week’s voting. The 1st Place winner in each category will be announced at the SAMMY Awards show on Friday, March 8, 2019, at the Palace Theater. Since 2007, the SAMMYS has received hundreds of thousands of online votes on its Peoples Choice website.
